Water taxi

Water taxis are the limousines of Venice: with their spacious leather-upholstered cabins, open-air seating in the stern, and private captains to chauffeur you up the Grand Canal or on a high-speed run between the airport and your hotel, they offer an experience that you won't forget in a hurry.

Direct service to your hotel in the city

Venice City Center is made up by several small island connected together by bridges. For this reason cars are not allowed to travel around the city and you can reach your hotel only by water taxi. In Venice many hotels have direct access to a canal. Our water taxis can travel down most of Venice’s narrowest side canals to reach hotels and smaller landing points. Water taxis are especially useful when arriving at or departing for Marco Polo airport, as you will avoid to haul your luggage through the city.

The banks of the Grand Canal are lined with more than 170 buildings, most of which date from the 13th to the 18th century, and demonstrate the welfare and art created by the Republic of Venice. If you want to enjoy your water taxi ride in the city you can have a deviation on the Grand Canal. The driver will go through all the Grand Canal and let you admire the beautiful palaces. In the end he will bring you to the hotel. This is something very special when arriving in the city!

Tours of the islands in the lagoon

One of the top day trips for visitors to Venice is a trip to one or more of the islands in the Venetian lagoon. Murano Island, famous for glass-making, is the most popular island to visit. Some glass factories allow visitors or tours and there are many shops selling glass creations and souvenirs. Burano Island is an island of picturesque canals lined with colorful houses. Torcello is a quiet, green island, a good place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a peaceful stroll or a lunch in the legendary Locanda Cipriani.
